So this is where I am right now. The piano keys border is sewn on, and I'm planning (always subject to change, of course) to finish it off with another border of solid fabric.
This day has been totally gray and gloomy with two periods of light rain. The first didn't start until around noon so it was possible to get outside for some yard/garden clean-up the first half of the day. We do need the rain as our raised garden beds are super dry. The field garden is still holding moisture well though. I've definitely got more to do outside before everything is ready to be put to bed for winter . . . but I wouldn't mind a couple of totally rainy days for a quilting break!

I love it! This one is MUCH more to my liking. Makes me want to get into my sewing room and drag out the 30's fabric bin. But I am MAKING MYSELF finish a couple of other things before I START something else!! I am really bad about having multiple unfinished projects going - a major vice of mine. Going up the the Great Smoky Mountains after work today for the weekend - Shades of the Past rod run - lots of antique cars for hubby and two GREAT quilt shops nearby for me! Have a lovely weekend...
I like this one...Is it big enough to finish without another border? It's really cute the way it is.
By the way, I mentioned you today in my blog. Thanks for your input!
Vivian - Such discipline (finishing projects)! Got any extra you can send me?
Have fun on your weekend and buy lots at the quilt shops . . . it's the least we can do to help the economy.
Beth - Nope, it needs another border to bring it up to size. It's on now and I hope to get another entry posted today for you to see the completed quilt top.
I saw that you mentioned my suggestion today in your blog! I'm glad it worked for the quilt. It looks really nice.
